Fashion Photography

University project based on fashion photography theme : Eternal

Photoshoot adam and eve

For my new brief at university i have to create a photoshoot based around the theme eternal.

I have chosen to go down the route of religion and how temptation is a sin.

I am trying to portray this through the biblical story of adam and eve.

This is how i spend my sunday evening :)

Editorial Design

This week i have been experimenting with editorial design!
I am new to this field of work but iv'e found it extremely interesting and ever so moreish.
I going to do a load more of this stuff in my spare time!

I have entered the next tigerprint competition!

I have designed two patterns that use only black white and greyscale.

New Competiton

I have entered another competition from the same company, maybe this time i'll be a bit luckier :)
This Competition involved creating a pattern aimed at ages 5-8 for a greetings card / wrapping paper and had to be linked to story telling and dreams.....

I entered a competition a few weeks ago and i was really disappointed when i didn't win.
My design did come within the top 32 out of 200+ though!

Competiton times........

I decided to enter a competition i found online, where i had to create a pattern that could be used 

for gift wrap, stationary, etc.

The company is Hallmark and the patterns had to relate to mens 2013 Fashion

Here are a few ideas i created.....

The original...

This is a photo of the original Wolf cutout i did! 

Wolf Paper Cutting!

Today i drew this wolf and used a scalpel to cut out the pieces, creating a stencil!

I then shone a torch through the stencil onto a blank wall!

Then added a few filters in photoshop.

Just having a practice with my camera and stuff :)

I Just can't stop with the 1950's!

The is a pattern i made by creating my own swatches and making a checker board

style frame and adding 1950's trend colours!

The first image is the original and i do prefer the original i just tried to change it up a bit so 

it had its own personality! 

I do really like the effect of the glass though! 

Working for a real client!

I received an email today from an independent accessories shop.

They asked if i could design a quick poster with a groovy style/feel.

This is what i came up with... They seemed pretty happy and asked if they could get the posters printed!

NEW LOGO!

I've been looking at retro styles lately and at old fashioned labels and stamps.

I decided to make myself a new logo!

The Perfect Couple!

These illustrations are created by a young couple from London

Together they call themselves 

'The Red Dress'

They studied at St Martins and i love their style and use of colour!

I want to recreate this kind of idea 

as a logo for my website design

in my second year at university!

So 50's!

I love everything 50's!

So when i found this tutorial i couldn't resist.

I recreated the original poster into a self promotion poster.

Just a bit of illustrator practice over the summer hols! :)
